Gaining strength and muscle is HARD work. ⠀
You can have the best equipment, follow the best training programs and nutrition plans. ⠀
However, if you are not training hard and pushing outside your comfort zone you will not see the change you want. ⠀

This is something I continuously reinforce with my clients - if your sets aren’t challenging, nothing is changing!
Going too easy in a session can be a product of having too low expectations of yourself. You’re capable of a lot more than you realize once you have the right mindset.
Here are 3 tips to improve your mindset while training:
Visualize: Before you start an exercise, take a moment and see yourself completing it with perfect technique.
Be aggressive: Don’t just lift the weights, attack them. Treat every rep as if it were your last. Lift like your life is on the line and do whatever it takes to psyche yourself up.
Focus: During a set, concentrate on what you’re doing. While resting, concentrate on what you’re about to do. Put away the phone and think about the body part you’re working with laser focus and forge the “mind/muscle” connection.
