To the untrained eye, football looks complicated and, it can be. However, in simple terms the object of the game is for one team to outscore the other.
Teams are trying to get the ball across the opposition's goal line to score a touchdown and defend their goal line from the opposition’s offensive efforts.
Yes, there are endless amounts of offensive formations and defensive strategies but a lot of the time it just comes down to getting that ball across the line, whatever way you can.
In fact, many sports are won by the team or athletes who are determined to score the goal or win the race, it may not always be pretty, it’s just about getting it done.
Workouts are like that too!
So many workouts to choose and so many fitness experts and influencers promoting their particular program as the best. Fitness podcasts are mostly experts talking ad nauseam about the latest research in some specific area. It’s similar to the football experts discussing the strategy of each play in the game.
Yes, it can be interesting but don’t let it distract you from scoring a touchdown and just getting a workout done!
Most people don’t need anything fancy, just a basic workout done CONSISTENTLY!
